Washington, DC (August 31, 2011) – Occam Solutions, Inc., was awarded an 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS II) contract by the General Services Administration, enabling it to provide information technology (IT) services-based solutions to all federal agencies and Department of Defense Activities.
8(a) STARS II is a multiple-award, task-order based, and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), with a five-year base period, one five-year option period, and a $10 billion overall program ceiling. Set aside for certified 8(a) small business concerns as prime contractors and thus enabling the transfer of socioeconomic credit to purchasing agencies, it also features shortened procurement times and low user access fees. Occam’s 8(a) STARS II services include a variety of custom computer programming services, computer systems design services, computer facilities management services, and other computer related services.
